According to these changes, the strict rule “there must be at least 40 years of age difference between adoptive parents and the child to be adopted” was eliminated and replaced by another application. It is also an important detail that the adoptive families are monitored and monitored periodically in order to keep the conditions of the adoptee under control. Under the terms of adoption;

The first requirement for a family or person to have the ability to adopt is that the adopter person or persons are citizens of the Republic of Turkey.
The adoptive spouse or person must be literate and have at least a primary school degree.
The child must be cared for by the adoptive family for at least one year and educated at the same time
Adoption families are visited periodically by the personnel employed by the ministry within the framework of Asdep (Family Social Support Program), ensuring that visits are made during certain periods
Giving parents the option of foster care instead of adoption because the waiting period is longer within the framework of the adoption method
Lowering the previously 40-year-old limit for adopters or spouses as the age difference between adopters and adopters will be 18
If the child has parents, consent should be obtained.
Obtaining a permit from the custody offices for children under guardianship
The adoptive spouses are both over the age of 30 and have completed five years of their marriage
If the minor has the ability to distinguish, his consent should be sought.
People who are not married and want to adopt must be over thirty years of age.
