What Are The Mandatory Elements Of The Bill?

The conditions of the coupon are listed in article 776 of the Turkish Commercial Code numbered 6102 which is in effect as of the date of issue.

These; coupon, the promise of paying a certain amount of unconditionally, maturity, payment place, beneficiary, the place and date of arrangement, is the signature of the organizer.

If one of the required conditions is incomplete, the coupon qualification is lost.

A) Elements

ARTICLE 776-

(1) coupon or promissory note;

B) Absence of elements

ARTICLE 777- (1) Without prejudice to the provisions of paragraphs 2 to 4, a bill which does not include one of the elements shown in Article 776 shall not be deemed as bills.

(2) A coupon whose term is not shown is considered a coupon which must be paid when it is seen.

(3) Where there is no clearance, the place where the certificate is issued is the place of payment and the settlement place of the organizer.

(4) A coupon not showing the place where it is arranged shall be deemed to be arranged in the place written by the name of the organizer.
