Turkey’s 3. In accordance with the visa policy applied to the states, the citizens of the country in which the visa is requested are required to obtain a visa in accordance with the purposes of their arrival in Turkey.

A family reunion visa is a type of visa granted to family members of foreign nationality for the purpose of protecting the family union and is issued to foreigners carrying certain conditions.

A foreigner who is a citizen of the Republic of turkey or married to a foreigner with valid work or residence permit in Turkey or his children must apply for a family reunion visa and apply to the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey on the date of appointment.

Documents Required For Family Reunion Visa In Turkey

Foreign spouses and children who apply for a family reunion visa through the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey must first apply for an appointment. The application for appointment must be made to the foreign representative office of the Republic of Turkey of the country of nationality or permanent residence of the foreigner. The Foreigner is requested to come to the embassy in person by preparing the following documents on the day of appointment:

Passport of less than 6 months from date of visa request;
Biometric Photography;
Marriage certificate or family wallet (requested from spouses);
Birth certificate or birth certificate (requested from children).
Spouses and children who come to Turkey on a family reunion visa or under a visa exemption can reside in Turkey by applying for a family residence permit. Family residence permit is issued for a maximum of 3 years, and in case the spouse to be reunited is a foreign national, the residence permit to be granted to the spouse or children cannot exceed the period of residence permit of the sponsor.

Documents Requested From Foreigners Who Are Married To Turkish Citizens:

Family Residence Permit Application Form;
The original and photocopy of the passport of the foreign spouse and (or) children;
4 Photos;
Marriage certificate or family wallet;
Original and photocopy of Turkish spouse’s birth certificate;
Health insurance (requested from both spouses);
Document showing the income level of the spouse of Turkish nationality;
Population Registration Example;
Document of settlement;
Judicial registration certificate of spouse of Turkish nationality.
Documents Requested From Foreigners Who Are Married To Foreigners Who Have A Residence Permit In Turkey:

Family Residence Permit Application Form;
The original and photocopy of the passport of the foreign spouse and (or) children;
4 photos;
Original and photocopy of passport of foreign spouse;
The original and photocopy of the residence or work permit of the spouse of a foreign national ( in cases where the spouse has refugee or secondary protection status, the original and photocopy of this document);
Marriage certificate or family wallet;
Document showing the income level of the foreign spouse;
Health insurance (requested from both spouses);
Judicial registration certificate (those who have resided in Turkey for more than 5 years are not required to bring a judicial registration certificate from their own country.);
Settlement certificate.
