PROBATION, CONDITIONAL RELEASE AND EXECUTION FOR CRIMES COMMITTED BEFORE 30.03.2020

Provisional Article 6 of the Law No. 5275. according to the article; It has been legislated to implement a separate probation and execution system in terms of crimes committed before 30.03.2020. Accordingly, Temporary 6. in terms of crimes committed before 30.03.2020, the following regulations have been introduced in accordance with the article:

The probation period will be 3 years.
Those sentenced to certain terms of imprisonment will benefit from conditional release provisions if they serve 1/2 of their sentence in an execution institution.
Both of the above regulations will be applied in terms of crimes committed before 30.03.2020. for crimes committed after 30.03.2020, the execution regulation contained in Article 105 / A of 5275 will apply, not the regulation described above. It should be noted right away that it is enough that the crime was committed before 30.03.2020, even if the conviction takes place at a later date, the convict is Temporary 6. he will be able to take advantage of the provisions of probation and conditional release in the article.
