Exceptional Acquisition Of Turkish Citizenship

Acquisition of Turkish citizenship as an exceptional article 12 of the Citizenship Law No. 5901.it is included in the article. In the article of the law in question, provided that the foreigner does not have an obstacle to national security and public order, it is arranged that he may become a Turkish citizen by the proposal of the Ministry of internal affairs and by the decision of the Council of Ministers.

Procedures For Obtaining Turkish Citizenship As An Exception

After the written instructions come from the ministry regarding the application of the foreigner who wants to acquire Turkish citizenship exceptionally, his file is prepared. It is necessary to include the following documents in the file:

Petition stating the application for Turkish citizenship in an exceptional way;
Notarized Turkish translation (passport or similar document) of the identity document belonging to the country of nationality of the person);
Notarized Turkish translation of birth certificate;
Notarized Turkish translation of the approved document according to the procedure of showing marital status;
If married, marriage certificate;
Divorce certificate if divorced;
The widow is his wife’s death certificate.
Notarized Turkish translation of a similar Approved Document in place of the sample or the sample of the recorded population showing the spouses and children;
Applicant 1. And 2. sample of the population registration belonging to the relatives of degrees (will be taken by the application authority);
Receipt of the service fee deposited with the Treasury Teller.
For exceptional citizenship applications, the procedure is as follows.

Written instructions are sent by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the application authority regarding foreigners who wish to acquire Turkish citizenship in an exceptional way;
The application authority collects the necessary documents and creates a citizenship file;
In writing to the Police Department, the applicant is asked for a security investigation into whether there is a threat to public safety and public order.;
As a result of the positive outcome of these transactions, checks are made by the application authorities and sent to the Council of Ministers for decision to be taken.;
Positive decision of the Council of ministers the person gains Turkish citizenship.
