Conditions For Workers Whose Employment Contract Is Terminated To Be Eligible For Cash Wage Support
After March 15, 2020, Article 51 of the Unemployment Insurance Law No. 4447 provides that more than one condition will occur cumulatively in the law and circular in order for workers whose employment contract has been terminated and who cannot benefit from unemployment benefits to benefit from cash wage support.
For workers whose employment contract is terminated, the employee’s employment contract must expire after March 15, 2020. In other words, even if the employment contract has expired to qualify for unemployment benefits before March 15, 2020, it will not be able to benefit from cash wage support under this law and Circular.
The employee’s employment contract has expired to be eligible for unemployment benefits, but according to other provisions of the Unemployment Insurance Law No. 4447, he must not be able to benefit from unemployment benefits.
