General Acquisition Of Turkish Citizenship<\/p>\n
11 Of The Citizenship Law No. 5901.according to the article, foreigners who reside in our country for 5 years without interruption can gain Turkish citizenship in the general way if the following conditions are met. The acquisition of Turkish citizenship is taken in two ways, by birth and later by the competent administrative decision. In accordance with the general provisions, foreigners who wish to acquire Turkish citizenship must carry the following conditions.<\/p>\n
According to the National Law of the foreigner to be a minor, if stateless T.C. In accordance with the Civil Code, he must be a minor;
\nMust have resided in Turkey for at least 5 years backwards from the application for citizenship;
\nThe foreigner should state his \/ her wish to settle in Turkey. For example, acquiring real estate in Turkey, T.C. to marry a citizen, to have a Turkish citizen mother, father, children, etc.;
\nShould not have a disease that would pose a threat to public health;
\nShould not be a person who acts in accordance with public morals;
\nTo be able to speak turkish in order to take part in Turkish society;
\nMust have the profession and income to provide for himself and his dependents in Turkey;
\nHe should not be a threat to national security and public order.
\nProcedures To Be Done By Applying For Turkish Citizenship<\/p>\n
The application for Turkish citizenship is made by the applicant himself or his or her representative with a special power of attorney given in this regard to the governorship where the applicant resides. In cases where the applicant is under 18 years of age and(or) lacks the power to distinguish, the application can be made by the parent or guardian.<\/p>\n
The application for citizenship is made on the basis of the foreign identity number of the foreigner of the Republic of Turkey.<\/p>\n
The application form petition is completed and the documents listed below are submitted. The application date is based on the date the person receives the form petition as the document record.<\/p>\n
Foreigners wishing to acquire Turkish citizenship can be found abroad not to exceed a total of 12 months within the period of residence sought in accordance with the new legal regulation. If the total time spent abroad does not exceed 12 months, it is assessed within the prescribed period of residence.<\/p>\n
Documents Required To Obtain Turkish Citizenship<\/p>\n
Turkish Citizenship Application Form;
\nWhite-funded biometric photo in 50\u00d760 mm format;
\nPassport or substitute valid similar document;
\nBirth certificate with identity information or similar document with this information;
\nDocument of the person’s marital status. Marriage certificate, divorce decree, death certificate.
\nHealth report on the qualifications determined by the Ministry of Health that the person does not have a disease that is contagious and does not pose a danger to public health;
\nDocument showing that he \/ she has the profession and income to make a living of himself \/ herself and his \/ her dependents in Turkey (work permit, tax plate etc.));
\nDocument showing the dates of entry and exit to Turkey to be obtained from the Provincial Police Department for having resided in Turkey for at least 5 years from the date of application for citizenship;
\nValid residence permit for a future period until the application for citizenship is completed;
\nIf the applicant has a court order which has been finalised for any criminal reason, the approved copy;
\nReceipt of payment of service to the Treasury Teller.
\nTransactions By The Commission<\/p>\n
The application made to the governorship within the borders of the province where the foreigner resides is submitted by the governor to the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs of the Ministry of Interior. The applicant can follow up the citizenship application number by learning from the Public Relations Unit of the General Directorate of the relevant ministry.<\/p>\n
