Turkish citizenship is acquired in two ways. The first of these is the acquisition of citizenship by birth. One of the later acquisition of citizenship is the \u201cacquisition of citizenship by means of marriage\u201d as explained below.<\/p>\n
Conditions For Becoming A Turkish Citizen Through Marriage<\/p>\n
First of all, marriage with a Turkish citizen does not give foreigners the right to become Turkish citizens by themselves. Conditions of being a Turkish citizen by marriage 16 of the Citizenship Law No. 5901.edited in Article. In accordance with the relevant law, the foreign national must have the following conditions in order to become a citizen by spouse::<\/p>\n
The foreigner who will apply for citizenship has been married to a Turkish citizen for at least 3 years and the marriage is ongoing;
\nInclusion of spouses in the family union;
\nNot to engage in activities contrary to the marriage union of the foreigner;
\nThere is no threat to the public safety of the foreigner.
\nForeigners may apply for citizenship in the governorates where they reside if they meet the above requirements. However, if the spouse of a Turkish citizen dies after the application date, it is not necessary for the spouses to live in a family union.<\/p>\n
The last paragraph of the text of the law deals with the status of the foreigner who gained Turkish citizenship after the marriage ended in bhutlan. If the foreigner is well-intentioned in marriage, his citizenship is not revoked.<\/p>\n

Completed citizenship application form;
\nCopy of Turkish spouse’s birth certificate;
\nNotarized Turkish translation copy of passport or similar document;
\nNotarized copy of the Turkish translation of the birth certificate of the foreign spouse;
\nMarriage certificate (photocopy to be presented);
\nRecently obtained residence permit for foreigners whose residence is in Turkey;
\nA document indicating that spouses live in a family union (such as a lease agreement, bank account etc.));
\nWhite-funded biometric photo taken over the last 6 months;
\nNotarized copy if there is a final court order against the foreigner for any reason of crime;
\nDocument indicating the deposit of the service fee for applying for citizenship.<\/p>\n
How soon will the process of gaining citizenship be concluded?<\/p>\n
