Turkiye Family Reunification Visa

3rd place of Turkey According to the visa policy applied to the states, citizens of the country where they want a visa must obtain a visa in accordance with the purpose of their arrival in Turkey.

A family reunification visa is a type of visa granted to foreign family members for the purpose of maintaining family unity and is issued to foreigners who meet certain conditions.

A foreigner or his children who are citizens of the Republic of Turkey or married to a foreigner with a valid work or residence permit in Turkey must apply for a visa for family reunification, prepare the necessary documents on the day of the appointment and apply to the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey.

Documents Required for a Family Reunification Visa in Turkey

Foreign spouses and children who have applied for a family reunification visa through the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey must first apply for an appointment. The application for appointment must be made to the foreign representative office of the Republic of Turkey of the country where the foreigner resides or is a permanent resident. It is requested that the foreigner arrive at the Embassy in person by preparing the following documents on the day of the appointment:

A passport with a period of at least 6 months from the date of requesting a visa;
Biometric Photo;
Marriage certificate or Family Certificate (Requested from spouses);
Birth certificate or sample of registered population registration (to be requested from children).
Spouses and children who have come to Turkey on a family reunification visa or as part of a visa exemption can reside in Turkey by applying for a family residence permit. A family residence permit is issued for a maximum of 3 years, and if the spouse to whom family reunification will be provided is a foreign national, the residence permit to be issued to the spouse or children cannot exceed the duration of the sponsor’s residence permit.

Documents Required for Applying for a family residence permit

Documents Requested from Foreigners Who are Married to a Turkish Citizen:

Family Residence Permit Application Form;
Original and photocopy of the passport of a foreign spouse and(or) children;
4 Photos;
Marriage certificate or Family Certificate;
Original and photocopy of the identity card of the spouse of a Turkish citizen;
Health Insurance (Requested from both spouses);
A document showing the income level of a spouse of Turkish nationality;
Example of Population Registration;
Certificate of settlement;
Certificate of the judicial registration of the spouse of the citizen of Turkey.
Documents Requested from Foreigners Who Are Married to a Foreigner Who Has a Residence Permit in Turkey:

Family Residence Permit Application Form;
Original and photocopy of the passport of a foreign spouse and(or) children;
4 Photos;
Original and photocopy of the passport of a foreign spouse;
Original and photocopy of the residence or work permit of a foreign spouse (original and photocopy of this document in cases where the spouse has refugee or secondary protected status);
Marriage certificate or Family Certificate;
A document showing the income level of a foreign spouse;
Health Insurance (Requested from both spouses);
Certificate of judicial registration (Those who have been residing in Turkey for more than 5 years are not required to bring a certificate of judicial registration from their own country.);
Certificate of settlement.
