Requirements for application

Article 11 – (1) foreigners who want to acquire Turkish citizenship;

(a) to have the power to distinguish and be mature according to their national law and Turkish law if they are stateless,

b) residence in Turkey for five years without interruption from the date of application,

c) confirm with his behavior that he has decided to settle in Turkey,

d) do not have a disease that poses a danger to general health,

d) have good morals,

e) be able to speak enough Turkish,

f) have an income or profession that will provide for the livelihood of himself and his dependents in Turkey,

d) not to be an obstacle in terms of national security and public order,

terms are sought.

(2) foreigners who want to acquire Turkish citizenship, together with the above-mentioned conditions, may also seek the condition of renouncing the state citizenship they carry. It is under the authority of the Council of Ministers to determine the basis for the use of this discretion.
