What Is Probation?
Probation is a criminal law institution that allows the execution of a person’s sentence in public life during the trial period determined by the legislator. A person who commits a crime is observed through probation in social life thanks to this institution. The law on probation is a law enacted with the aim of ensuring that a person can maintain their connections with their social life, family and adapt to the outside world. A convicted person is released after a certain period of conditional release while serving his sentence in prison and is kept under control in public life outside.
The practice of probation can be caused by many different reasons. For example, probation for drug use is a measure that is applied before sentencing the person being tried. It is an institution that finds many applications such as this and so on.
Probation Act
The law, known as the Probation Act, actually refers to the regulations introduced by Article 105/a of the Penal Code No. 5275.This law is known as the Probation Act. The reason why this law is called the probation law is that with an addition to the Penal Code No. 5275, the release of convicted persons who have committed many crimes from prison is ensured.
