What does the liquidation of the property regime mean?

Liquidation is carried out when the property regime to which the spouses are subject ends. According to the principles of the current goods regime, goods are shared with the parties.

When is the liquidation of the goods regime carried out?

The property regime is liquidated by the termination of the marital union, i.e. divorce or the death of one of the spouses. Or, when the marriage continues, the spouses agree to a different property regime with the property regime contract, or if it exists under the necessary conditions at the request of one of the spouses, the liquidation of the property regime is carried out by passing through the court to the extraordinary property regime.
